Specialist Accommodation for People with Learning Disabilities and Autism

At Second Chance Housing, our Supported Housing schemes are designed around the needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, providing safe, stable accommodation alongside regulated care delivered by our trusted CQC-registered care partners.

We provide the housing — they provide the care — working closely together to create holistic, person-centred support.

🧩 Who it’s for:

  • Adults aged 18+ with a diagnosed learning disability and/or autism

  • People eligible for support under the Care Act 2014

  • Individuals requiring supported living placements where housing and care are provided separately but collaboratively

🏡 What we offer:

  • Specialist, adapted housing in community settings

  • Single-occupancy and shared flats depending on assessed need

  • Environmental adjustments (e.g., low-stimulation spaces, safety adaptations)

  • 24/7 property maintenance and housing management

🤝 How it works:

  • We partner with regulated care providers who deliver personal care under a CQC registration

  • You remain the tenant, with your rights and tenancy protected

  • The housing and support elements are delivered under the Exempt Accommodation framework

📋 Our focus:

  • Tenancy sustainment and safe environments

  • Regular property checks and responsive repairs

  • Collaborative working with families, social workers, and care providers

This model promotes independence, choice, and long-term stability — helping individuals thrive in the community with the right care and the right housing.

Ex-Offender Supported Accommodation

Helping People Break the Cycle of Offending and Homelessness

We work exclusively with the National Probation Service (NPS) and Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) — we do not accept self-referrals or referrals from unsupported agencies.
